This year marks the third annual America Supports You Freedom Walk – a new national tradition to reflect on the lives lost on September 11, renew our commitment to freedom and the values of our country and to honor our veterans, past and present. The first Freedom Walk, held on September 11, 2005 in our Nation’s capitol, brought together more than 15,000 walkers including family members of the victims of September 11, Members of Congress, administration officials, federal workers, corporate employees, civic organizations, and citizens from around the country. In 2006, communities in all fifty states and more than 130 cities hosted Freedom Walks.
