I would like to apologize for not having the page current. However, Google has been giving me fits about my password. For some reason I have to change my password every time I sign in. This is highly annoying and tedious. I will try to correct the problem if it can be.
In the mean time, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Tonight was the Ornament exchange and it was a blast. We stayed at B.G. Bolton's for about 3 hours jsut gabbing. It was nice for us to get out of the house. I hope to have a club meeting next month to schedule some events for the year.
Right now I would like to mention a family who could use some prayer. Their 3-year-old has nueroblastoma which is a very serious childhood cancer. She has gone through 2 chemo treatments. She will have to have surgery on her hips because her bones have become so brittle that they are fractured. The mother is also currently pregnant. Dad has just returned from a deployment. This is a very strong family and those at McConnell has been very supportive. Dinner has been taken up to them while at the hospital. If you would like to help the Latimer family in anyway jsut comment here and I will contact you. It is possible that Google will allow you to email me directly but I am unsure of that.

Operation Aircare, Operation School Supply
This is a message from our Vice President, Melissa Flint. This is a project she has wanted to do since she heard about it. I have been busy and asked her to take charge of it. Here's what she had to say:
This project is unmanned first of all! Basically, our troops need some supplies for themselves and for school children in Kirkuk, Iraq. I have set it up that we will have a collection bin at the Commissary for Friday thru Sunday. I am still waiting for the BX to approve this project. We may need to do the bins next weekend as well due to the Air Show. The commissary will have a bin for the Troop's needs and the BX (if all goes well) will have a bin for the Iraqi children's needs. Each bin will also have a place to put a cash donation, the cash will be used for shipping costs and to buy more supplies if we have extra. I will need help boxing and shipping everything, so if anyone is interested please let me know. My contact info will be at the bottom of this email. I also need help getting the word out! Please stop by and donate some of the items listed on the attachment if you can! If anyone has any questions or suggestions please call me, I will be away from my email most of the weekend.
Thank you and I'll see ya Monday at Bunco (7pm)!

Return of Bunco
Bunco has returned to the ESC!! We will be playing on Monday July 16th. We are in the Java Ops Room at the Dole Center at 7:00. We are having a pot luck dinner so bring something yummy!
Don't Know what Bunco is? Its a dice game. it requires no skill or special talent. It is just a time to get together and have fun meeting the other players. We will start playing Bunco every other month. If it is a success maybe a monthly game can be established. I personally love the game and look forward to meeting everyone here at McConnell.

Airmen Against Drunk Driving
I contacted the 1st Sgt who is in charge of the AADD program and they could really use some volunteers for the Memorial weekend. They usually need 6-8 volunteers each night. 2 people must ride in one car at all times. They have a room we could use and it has things like pool tables to keep from being bored. If you have a few hours on either one of the days (25th-28th) please contact me so i can get you on the list.
